What to Expect with U-Pick Apples
THERE IS NO ADMISSION TO THE U-PICK ORCHARD, BUT YOU MUST PURCHASE A BAG FOR PICKING.
We offer bags for picking, or reusable bushels are available for purchase. No personal bags for picking will be allowed in the U-Pick orchard. This is to help with the waste in the You-Pick orchard.
No running in the orchards or climbing on the trees. Please do not damage the trees; they are delicate.
What to Expect with Ready-Picked Apples
APPLES LOCATED IN THE APPLE BARN
Ready-picked apples will be available in-store for anyone buying per pound instead of the bag.
In-season seconds (great for baking) are available at a discounted price
There is no admission to Great Lakes Farms; the Store and Apple Barn cafe entrance is FREE for everyone!
Don’t Forget Your Tractor Ride!
During the season, we offer tractor rides on Saturdays and Sundays - starting at 11 AM and running each hour on the hour.
Fun Farm admissions/wrist bands will be checked in order to enjoy a tractor ride. See pricing on our Fall Visits page.
FARM RULES
We love having visitors on the farm. To make sure everyone has fun on the farm, there are four simple rules;
1. The farm is a pet-free zone because of current food safety guidelines. They cannot be in the orchard or apple barn. Please leave your furry friends at home.
2. The farm is smoke-free. This allows all visitors to enjoy the farm.
3. Stay in designated visitor areas. The wholesale orchard is for trained staff only.
4. No outside food is permitted at Great Lakes Farms. There are plenty of options for dining nearby in the Port Stanley Village, a short distance from the farm. The Apple Barn café at the farm offers a selection of freshly baked treats, cold and hot beverages for visitors to enjoy.
